“So You Want to Post a Video”
Wednesday, Aug. 26, 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
Firehouse Pictures, 1202 N. Venice
IABC/Tucson member Sally Sumner and her crew—winners of a 2009 Cactus Quill Award for video production—will detail the elements for creating online videos, including using a small camera, computer editing, web use and integration, script and production preparation. Take a tour of the studios and take away a list of resources for equipment purchases and training opportunities.

Learn strategies for getting employees to notice and act on your communications at this buy-your-own lunch with a local communications strategist. There’s no other admission fee for members.

“Harnessing Your Creativity for Work That THRIVES”
Wednesday, Oct. 14, 3-5 p.m.
Lifestyle Design Coach Jenny Ferry will guide you to discover and use your personal “zones of genius.” After Ferry discusses right-brain competencies, creativity and curiosity, she’ll lead small-group exercises that help you discover your creative self. You’ll leave with a simple took-kit for accessing your creativity at work, boosting your value to your employer.
Participants in the admission-fee workshop can gather afterward for happy-hour networking.

Nov. 17
“Powerful Print—Tools & Tips
to Hit Your Communications Program Targets”
Tuesday, Nov. 17,

Chuck Zaepfel, vice president of Direct Mail Services for AlphaGraphics CPS, will use the latest industry research to convince you that publications and other print media remain key in effective business communications strategy. You’ll also learn about sustainable papers, quality standards in print and the latest Postal Service mail requirements. Following this breakfast and roundtable discussion, Zaepfel, a certified Mailpiece Quality Control Expert, will personally consult with participants who have samples of mailers that need to meet U.S. Postal Service criteria. He’ll also conduct a tour of the company’s print facility. Leave with a print goody bag courtesy of AlphaGraphics CPS.
