Vanessa P. Reyes, Tucson/IABC’s current Vice President of Professional Development, takes the helm as Co-President for Tucson’s 2011-2012 chapter year. With her business-minded focus and interest in event planning, Vanessa brings enthusiasm, solid editorial, marketing and public relations experience and IABC commitment to the position and she’s eager to get started!
Working for GEICO Insurance as Claims Representative, Vanessa is focused on customer service and product quality in addition to adding a professional editorial eye to client communications. Prior to joining GEICO, Vanessa was Events Assistant, BIO5 Institute, The University of Arizona and also Event Coordinator, State Relations, Arizona BioIndustry Association for The University of Arizona. In addition to her IABC/Tucson Board assignments, Vanessa is a member of the Board of Directors, The University of Arizona, Tucson Alumni Chapter, where she uses her creative planning skills to reinvigorate the chapter including recruiting new members through networking and social media.
Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with Minors in Spanish & Leadership, from The University of Arizona in 2009.
